3 Proofs You’re Not a Christian
There are rarely any small churches these days. More people are identifying with the Church and making sacrifices for its growth, but that’s not the metric for determining if they are saved.
Just as faith without work is dead, work without faith is also death. You could be a regular churchgoer and faithful in paying tithes and offerings, but if you haven’t received Jesus, you will have no eternal reward.
Our works can’t save us; Jesus is the only acceptable and pleasing sacrifice in the sight of God.
Even if you love the church and give your all to it, but are guilty of the following, you are not saved yet.
1. You are not a Christian if you haven’t heard of or from Jesus before.
You might already know that, although Jesus came in the flesh and walked on earth, He’s no longer here. He’s currently seated at the right hand of God in heaven.
Everything you hear about Him is either directly or indirectly from His followers (like me) or from Him directly.
You can only get saved by believing the things you hear about Him. So, if you haven’t heard of Jesus or from Jesus, there’s no way you are saved because you can’t believe in what you don’t know.
2. You are not a Christian if you don’t believe in Jesus.
If you don’t believe in Jesus, you are not a Christian because to be a Christian is to be Christlike, and Christ cannot doubt Himself.
Although some people think there are different ways to God and heaven, that’s not true. Jesus is the Way, and that’s the Way He came to show us.
When you believe this message, you are one step closer to being a Christian—Christlike.
3. You are not a Christian if you have not accepted or received Jesus.
You are not a Christian if you have not called upon Jesus to save you.
Right now, Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart, and if you open your mouth and ask Him to come in, He will come in and deposit His life and light in you.
So, have you heard of Jesus? Do you believe in Jesus? Have you asked Him to become your Lord and Savior? If yes, then you are a Christian. If not, why not yet?
